My sister-in-law got a new job teaching, so this summer we went to the mall to get her a new wardrobe. It was so much fun helping someone else spend their money! While we were there, a worker at one of the stores had on an awesome red necklace. I loved it, but it was no longer available at the store where she got it. So I tried to recreate it and here is how it turned out:
I used the same technique as the gold necklace I made last week, using the satin cord from http://www.bbcrafts.com/. I like using the satin cord because it saves money by using less beads and it is also more comfortable on the back of the neck.
This time I added a clasp because the necklace is shorter and won’t fit over my head:
I had a few beads left over so I made matching earrings as well. My next blog post will be on how to make the earrings.
