DIY Anthropologie Pleated Spiral Pillow

A friend of mine asked me to make her a pleated spiral pillow to go with her awesome Anthropologie Distant Voyage bedding:

Isn’t this bedding awesome!?! At first I was going to go to Jo-Ann’s to try to find a bunch of different fabrics to match the bedding. I was really worried about matching the colors, though, because all I had to go off of was the online image. So I decided to order one of the pillow shams, take it apart, and use the fabric to make the ruffles. You can imagine how nervous I was to buy a $40 pillow sham (on sale none-the-less!!) and take it apart. I definitely consulted with my Mom first! I’m really happy with how it turned out and I hope my friend likes it too:

It looks way better in person… I definitely need to work on my photography skills. Even my husband said it turned out really nice! Here is a close-up:

I hope you like it Katie!
