Halloween Madness

Every year my sister, Kathy, and her husband, Matt, throw a big Halloween party and there is a lot of build up and anticipation. It’s always fun to see what new decoration they make or buy to add to their already crazy collection. Here are few of my favorites from this year….

GOURDS!! 🙂 Kathy bought these quirky gourds on Etsy:

They are SO fun! The middle one is huge – bigger than a watermelon. Next year she might try to make one herself. I guess you can buy the dried gourds pretty cheap. The hard part is then cutting out the faces and staining them.

Kathy bought this stand and glass cloche from a local antique shop, then she put a skull and some cheesecloth inside. Love it!

Matt’s cousin made this awesome scarecrow for them:

Then there are these cute ghosts that Kathy ordered off of Etsy:

They are made of felt with a tomato stand for support and lights to jazz them up.

Here is another fun wooden box she got at a local craft fair and filled with gourds:

I feel like this just scratches the surface. Tomorrow I’ll post some pictures of things they made themselves.
